Airborne Diseases Explained

The size of the coronavirus is well-known to scientists, 100 nanometers, 200 virions. The virus can be carried by droplets and droplet nuclei.

Most public health organization’s protective measures are designed to protect people from large droplets that carry the coronavirus. They tend to quickly fall to contact surfaces within a few feet from their source. This is why people are encouraged to stay 6 feet apart in public. *Airborne Disease

An airborne disease is any disease that is caused by pathogens that can be transmitted through the air over time and distance by small particles. The relevant pathogens may be viruses, bacteria, or fungi, and they may be spread through breathing, talking, coughing, sneezing, raising of dust, spraying of liquids, toilet flushing, or any activities which generate aerosol particles or droplets.

Step 1

Surface Preparation and Application Protection

  • Certified Pure Air Technology technician's will perform an initial testing protocol with a Luminometer ATP test for a base line reading
  • All approved surfaces will be disinfected with a Pure Air Technology PH neutral solution . At this time a new ATP test reading will be recorded
  • Once the surface is fully prepped and all ATP test readings are approved, the Pure-Tech application process will be initiated
  • ATP test readings are once again taken and the bonding is conformed with the surface
  • The shield protection is active
  • The building will get a Pure Air Technology Certification / Inspection tag showing compliance

Step 2

Air Purification and Protection

  • The Pure-Tech product will be applied to All HVAC air stream contact points ( blower wheel, coils and return section) to protect the surfaces from viruses, bacteria, fungus, mold and mildew
  • Installation of UVC Lighting engineered for proper dwell time and radiance based on CFM flow rates
  • Supply of a custom 316 Stainless Steel frame with a HCS-229E-C19 protected filter from Pure Air Technology with proprietary VIS (vacuum infused saturation) process

Step 3

Textiles, Linens, and Clothing Protection

  • The Pure-Tech product can be combined with cationic or noncationic additives in the washing cycle. Anionic material will prevent the Pure-Tech product from bonding to the fabric material
  • Water temperature range is 110-130 deg F
  • Wash fabrics in normal wash / spin / rinse cycle with detergent. DO NOT DRY
  • Keep fabrics in washing machine. Add Pure-Tech product and start second wash cycle of wash / spin only. DO NOT RINSE.
  • Dry as usual
  • Fabrics are now protected for up to 20 normal wash cycles.
  • No negative effects to FRC
